Saving on Soap

I used to be a Dr Bronners fan but ever the cheapskate (and their labels always made me wonder a bit) I found something else. Seven Minerals brand castile soap on Amazon. I buy a gallon at a time and it lasts me around 4-5 months for six people. We use it for all of our dishes, which we hand wash everything so theres always a lot, in foaming pumps at our bathroom and kitchen sinks, and as our one and only shower soap also in a foaming pump. Basically it gets used A LOT. Seven minerals edges out Dr Bronners on ingredients as well. They don’t use any palm oil and while Dr Bronners doesn’t use palm oil they are using palm kernal oil as well as citric acid (I recently found out this is most often derived from MOLD so I’ve been super cautious ever since).

As of today Seven Minerals  is priced at $49.95 or 39 cents an ounce. A gallon of Dr Bronners ranges form $50.59-59.80 depending on scent. . Is it a huge savings? Not necessarily but Seven Minerals is also a smaller family owned company and I strive to utilize those whenever I possibly can. I’m happy with it anyway.
